Less than 100 days are left for the 31st Athens Classic Marathon, to take place on November 10, 2013 along with the 5 and 10km Road Races, as well as the 1000m Kids Run and the Special Olympics Hellas race to be held along the Marathon course this year.
More than 7,500 Marathon runners of all ages from Greece and abroad have already submitted their registration. The goal of 10,000 runners in the Marathon Race set by the Organizing Committee is to be met very very soon, while the percentage of those coming abroad will be 25% higher than last year.
On the other hand, registrations for the 5 & 10km Road Races have already closed since July, as the participation limit of 16,000 runners has been met.
Beside the mass participation that the 31st Athens Classic Marathon is enjoying this year, the event will be brightened with the establishment and announcement of the AIMS Award for the Best Marathon Runner of the Year. AIMS, in cooperation with the Athens Classic Marathon Organizing Committee, will award the world Best Male and Female Marathon Runner of 2013 in a Gala to be held on November 8, 2013, two days before the Athens Classic Marathon.

Εκατό μέρες για τον Κλασικό Μαραθώνιο
Μόλις 100 ημέρες απέμειναν για την διεξαγωγή του 31ου Κλασικού Μαραθωνίου της Αθήνας, που για φέτος έχει οριστεί να γίνει στις 10 Νοεμβρίου μαζί με τους λαϊκούς δρόμους των 5 και 10 χιλιομέτρων.
Ήδη πάνω από 7500 δρομείς όλων των ηλικιών από την Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό έχουν δηλώσει συμμετοχή ενώ οι εγγραφές στην φετινή διοργάνωση συνεχίζονται,μέσα από την επίσημη ιστοσελίδα του αγώνα κι αναμένεται να κλείσουν στα τέλη Αυγούστου.
Υπενθυμίζεται ότι από τον Ιούλιο έχουν κλείσει οι εγγραφές στα 5 και 10 χιλιόμετρα όπου περισσότεροι από 16.000 δρομείς, συνολικά, δημιούργησαν ένα ακόμη ρεκόρ για την διοργάνωση του Κλασικού Μαραθωνίου της Αθήνας όπου εντάσσονται.
