Segas family has been welcoming guests since the early 1960s, first in a few rented rooms and then in to Hotel Segas. Papa (Lakis) Segas saw the first visitors to Loutraki who were coming for the thermal baths, the first casino in Greece, the archaeological sites in Corinth, the crossing of the Corinth Canal and the wonderful Loutraki sea and Vouliagmeni lake and he invited them to stay at home. A visionary at his time he was one of the first people to celebrate tourism and offer genuine Greek hospitality supported by his wife Katina and their children Aristidis and Maria. Slowly he developed the hotel adding rooms gradually to make it Pension Segas and then eventually Hotel Segas. Since March 1976, contracts with international partners, such Scandinavian Touring - Scan Tours, Spies, Neckermann, Tjaereborg tour operator established the hotel for the European markets and particular in Denmark and all Scandinavia.
Following his premature passing in 2000 and the diminish of tour operator business in Loutraki, Aris and Maria continue the family tradition to offer genuine Greek hospitality at the hotel. Regular refurbishments led by award winning architect Giannis Sfaelos to keep the facilities up to date, online and digital leadership, very competitive pricing and excellent value for money, innovations such as offering free wifi before this was even thought in Greece, and most importantly hospitality from the heart have kept the hotel busy with regulars bringing their friends and expanding our family guests.
Now the hotel is the second home for many guests that enjoy our family hospitality traditions. It is also the place of choice for many people visiting Loutraki and the Peloponnese and the base for field trips of many Universities from around the world visiting Greece. New comers, often attracted by our Tripadvisor and booking.com ratings or our online presence, they arrive as tourists and they leave as friends. They never say goodbye... they say τα λέμε σύντομα, so long, au revoir, hasta pronto, ci vediamo subito... and they come back with their friends!
